Godalming Hotel Guest House, Godalming

The hotel's location is brilliant even though hidden by an almost impossibly narrow alley, and I received excellent service during my stay. The dining experience was satisfying, though fried fish was the only option available. However, the rooms were not cleaned or made up, and the bedding and decoration lacked quality.

The hotel is conveniently located just outside the town center, making it easy to access local pubs for meals if you're working away. The rooms lack good quality bedding and proper decoration, but the hot drink facilities and a glass of wine provided are a nice touch. However, the bedding not matching the decor gives a grim feeling. The service was excellent, and the hotel is in a brilliant area. The dining options include freshly cooked choices, particularly suitable for vegetarians. The Irish soda bread is a nice addition. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money.
